Empowering Girls is a continuing Rotary International (RI) Presidential Initiative for Rotary years 2022-2024, building on the education and awareness created around the globe in 2021-22. The initiative is focused on Rotary and Rotaract club-level projects through which clubs can create positive change in the lives of girls. Our Rotary Club is a cause-based club that was chartered in June 2023 under this Empowering Girls initiative. We have been working hard while having fun ever since!
We are an online club (also called an “e-club”), but we also host events in areas local to our members. We currently host events in Jacksonville, North Carolina, and will soon also be hosting events in Miami, Florida. Each year we plan and host fundraising events large and small to raise money for our service projects, participate in community events to create an understanding and build a relationship with the people and businesses we serve, and do lots of local service!
Our Meetings
We host semi-monthly meetings on Zoom that are open for anyone to join. Feel free to bring a friend to the meeting as well! Our meetings are on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of each month from 6:00 PM EST to 7:00 PM. Check out our club’s calendar. We host speakers during our meetings that educate us about interesting initiatives and programs that our members care about.
Our Members
Our members live all over the U.S. including San Diego, San Antonio, Miami, and North Carolina. We are always looking for men and women who are interested in our cause to come visit our club.
