Rotary International designates September as Basic Education and Literacy Month to highlight its commitment to strengthening communities’ capacity to support education, reduce gender disparity in education, and increase adult literacy worldwide.

We will be hosting Marylynne Schwartz and Aileen Sabanal from the Friends of the Miami-Dade Public Library Inc., a non-profit designed to support the Miami-Dade Public Library System. They’ll be speaking about library services and how their organization supports literacy projects.
